Marat Zakharin is a noted contemporary Israeli-Russian artist residing in the Galilean hills in Israel.
Marat Zakharin was born in Gomel, Belarus, in a family of a military officer and a doctor. While in Belarus, Marat attended and graduated the Gomel Institute of Fine Arts. Marat has been drawing and painting since childhood. Marat was reared in an atmosphere of love for the arts and music. Marat always visited all museums and important exhibitions in Belarus and neighboring countries of the former Soviet Union.
After graduating from the Gomel Institute of Fine Arts, Marat emigrated to Israel. In Israel Marat continued to draw and paint and also graduated from a local technical college with a diploma of a junior engineer.
Marat Zakharin’s paintings were extensively exhibited in Israel and abroad to exceptionally good reviews.
